Mentorship Program: Career Readiness & Transition Mentoring
Société de Chimie Industrielle is excited to launch the
Career Readiness & Transition Mentoring Pilot Program, a new initiative designed to support Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Life Science students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals with less than five years of work experience as they prepare for the next stage of their careers.
Through personalized mentoring from experienced professionals (or executives), participants will gain practical guidance to help them confidently navigate the transition from education to employment. The 8-week program includes support with:
- Building and optimizing a professional LinkedIn profile
- Writing impactful resumes
- Preparing for interviews through mock interview sessions
- Developing effective job search strategies
- Learning how to secure internships, graduate positions, and/or full-time employment
- Gaining insights into career pathways and professional development in the chemical and industrial life sciences markets
Whether you are seeking your first internship, preparing for graduate recruitment, or ready to launch your professional career, this mentoring program will provide the tools, confidence, and industry connections to help you succeed. We will select Mentors from members and friends of our organization and pair them with Mentees seeking mentorship support to enable them to take the next steps with having the proper tools and valuable insights from seasoned professionals.
The Program duration is 8 weeks, starting on September 28 - November 20, 2026. Mentors and Mentees are expected to meet and speak each week during the Program, closely following the specific week-by-week topics during their dedicated 1-hour video calls, set up at mutually agreed upon days and times.
Société de Chimie Industrielle looks forward to supporting the next generation of professionals through this meaningful new opportunity.
