John E. Panichella

Speaker:

John E. Panichella
President & CEO
Solenis

The global water and wastewater treatment market is expected to reach $211.3 billion by 2025, at a CAGR of 6.5% from now until then. The growth of this market is primarily driven by rapid population growth and urbanization, growing demand for new water resources, rising focus on water quality and public health, increasing prevalence of water-borne diseases, the growing need to treat industrial wastewater sector, and stringent government regulations on treating wastewater.

Satisfying the needs of the market has created a great deal of opportunity for companies in a wide variety of segments. It also has created challenges as the pace of innovation has continued to create changing customer preferences and shifts in demand for chemicals, equipment and other services.

John Panichella heads one of the leading water technologies companies globally with a legacy of water treatment that dates back more than one hundred years. Spun off from Ashland in 2014, Solenis recently added BASF’s water and paper chemicals business to their portfolio. He will share his view of the current state of the water treatment industry, where the industry is headed in terms of innovation and growth, and the key role that companies such as Solenis play in advancing technologies and solutions in this very important industry.
