WEBINAR: 'The Role of Private Equity and the Chemical Industry'

The October 21 webinar has been recorded. Members of Société can view the webinar here

Scott Wolff

SPEAKER:  Scott Wolff,
Managing Director,
American Securities

Private equity has had an important and very visible role in the chemical industry since 2000. A very significant percentage of chemical M&A transactions over the last ten years have involved either a private equity buyer or a seller. However, the nature and character of private equity chemical transactions have changed over time and the number of private equity firms involved in chemicals has also increased. Mr. Wolff will share with us his view of the relationship of private equity with the chemical industry, what he sees in the future, and some of his firm’s philosophies when it has invested in chemicals.

American Securities LLC—originally named American Securities Capital Partners (ASCP) 1994 - 2008—is a leading U.S. private equity firm—based in New York with an office in Shanghai—that invests in market-leading North American companies with annual revenues generally ranging from $200 million to $2 billion/ They have been one of the more active and successful acquirers of companies in the chemicals and related industries starting in 2010.

Mr. Wolff will make a number of opening comments, followed by a fireside chat conducted by Peter Young.
