WEBINAR: "The Impact of the Presidential Elections on the Chemical Industry"

The January 20th webinar has been recorded. Members of Société can view the webinar here

PANELISTS:
- Edward Stones, Senior Business Director, Energy and Climate Change,  The Dow Chemical Company
- Patrick Givens,  Managing Director, Policy & Government Relations, Deloitte

The Biden Administration will likely introduce changes to energy policy including rejoining the Paris Climate agreement, imposing carbon adjustment fees on carbon-intensive goods from countries failing to meet climate and environmental obligations, and clean energy investments to meet a 2050 net-zero carbon emissions from the US.

To understand what is ahead for the chemical industry regarding energy policy and the impact towards decarbonization, Societe has assembled a panel made up of The Dow Chemical Company’s Senior Business Director for Energy and Climate Change, Edward Stone and Deloitte’s Managing Director of Policy & Government Relations, Patrick Givens. To be moderated by Duane Dickson, Vice Chairman and US Oil, Gas & Chemicals Leader for Deloitte, panelists will share their perspectives on a post-election analysis on the energy industry and how chemical companies are accelerating their strategies to meet the demands of a low-carbon future. Toward the end of the hour broadcast, panelists will answer questions from the audience.
