TOPIC: “Chemical Logistics in a Changing World”

Chemical manufacturers focus intensely on safety, product quality, and cost-effectiveness - all important components of the industry of chemical manufacturing.   One step, however, is integral to the success of the industry - getting the product to the end customer. Chemical logistics are a challenging but essential part of the dynamic chemical industry and are undergoing many changes. Speakers from three industry leading chemical logistics companies: BDP International Inc., Odyssey Logistics and Transplace will share their unique perspectives on the unsung participants of the chemical supply chain.

Key items for discussion will include what is changing in the world of global chemical trade, how safety has become an increasing important factor, how “free shipping” is affecting cargo movement, how sustainability issues have affected the industry, the challenge of shipment tracking, and future logistics trends. Each speaker will give a presentation followed by a discussion moderated by John Rolando, President of Evonik North America.
